Affirmation Choir is a free, 8-week community choir project designed specifically for women. Each one-hour, welcoming and informal session focuses on a powerful theme - such as confidence, resilience, or respect - and is structured to foster connection, creativity, vocal development, and self-expression. The sessions are open to all women over 18 and are designed to be inclusive, uplifting, and accessible.
Each week, participants will explore a theme through group discussion, vocal warmups, and learning a popular, empowering song by a female artist, such as: Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Demi Lovato and Katy Perry.
The project will culminate in a relaxed and joyful community performance of all songs, with invited friends, family, and special guests, including representatives from the Ross-on-Wye Rotary Club. Affirmations reflecting each theme will be displayed as part of the visual celebration.
Affirmation Choir runs weekly from Mon 2nd Feb - Mon 23rd Mar 2026, at Ross Corn Exchange.
