Hardest thing to do? Finding your own self beautiful? Being beautiful in the eyes of the world? Ah, that’s hardly a thing we have control over, but that’s hardly an experience of being queer. No, that’s simply a human experience.. as is being queer, except, the difference? 

The difference is that, unlike cis-het people? One’s body is so intrinsically tied into the identity of who one is. Whether you feel comfortable, whether it feels.. right, whether every part of you is just.. what you want it to be, and yet.. the struggle to do just that never ends. The search for it. The comfort of finding what you want to be, and look like. These? 

These are the tales of that struggle. Of self- acceptance.

An open mic about queer stories. Simple as that, honestly. Artists, in ways of storytelling, poetry, comedy and songs, always tell us about themselves, the softness of their emotions in affection, or just.. love? A constant. A space to feel accepted, understood and related to.
