Join us for a group reading Virgil's Aeneid, one of the foundational works of Western literature.
Together we'll explore themes of duty, family, courage, suffering, leadership, and the founding of Rome through guided discussion and conversation.
No prior knowledge of the classics is required. Simply read the assigned chapters and join us.
We'll read the poem in three sections and meet three times to talk it over:
• Friday, November 13: Books 1–4
• Friday, February 26: Books 5–8
• Friday, April 30: Books 9–12
All meetings are at 6:00 at Georgia Bob's in Perry.
There is a weekly reading plan to keep everyone on pace, along with discussion questions for each section. You don't need any background in the classics. Just bring a copy of the book and your questions.
If you'd like to join, comment below or send us a message and we'll send you the reading plan. The first reading starts the week of October 5, so now is a great time to jump in. Feel free to share this with a friend who would enjoy it!
