Advice First Aid Training
About this Event
Advice First Aid
Strengthening our community through early support, delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice Warrington.
Our Mission
Many people experiencing difficulties do not reach out for help until they are in crisis — and some never seek support at all. Advice First Aid is designed to change that.
By equipping trusted community organisations with the skills to recognise and respond to early signs of need, we ensure more people receive timely, accessible guidance before their situation escalates.
What Is Advice First Aid?
Advice First Aid is a Citizens Advice initiative that empowers local organisations, charities and community groups to play an active role in improving access to advice.
Through this partnership, we train frontline staff and volunteers to become Advice First Aiders — confident, informed first points of contact for anyone experiencing challenges.
What Advice First Aiders Do
Advice First Aiders are trained to:
- Recognise advice needs — identify when someone may benefit from information or support
- Guide people to reliable information — help individuals find trusted resources to address issues independently
- Signpost to Citizens Advice — explain how to access further support when needed
- Refer urgent cases — connect those most at risk directly into our service for timely assistance
Training Overview
We offer free, two‑hour Advice First Aid training for frontline staff and volunteers within Warrington. No prior knowledge or preparation is required — just a commitment to helping others.
