Spider-loving landcarer, Cindy Macardle, has been assiduously photographing the many miniature creatures of Oaklands Wetland for a number of years. In this special Nature Festival event, Cindy presents her collection of macrophotography to introduce you to the fast-moving world of insects who now live in and around the wetlands. Cindy will use her collection of photos to explain:
-the diversity of wetland insects
-interactions between insects and plants
-predator and prey relationships
-symbiotic relationships
-behavioural studies
-conservation, education and tips for field techniques.
WE SUPPLY
The friends group supplies refreshments for all attendees.
MEETING POINT
Oaklands Education Centre, a small building located south-west of the skatepark car park visible from Oaklands Road.
BOOKINGS
Tickets will be available from the Nature Festival website from August 15. Numbers for this event are capped at 16.
