Storytelling is perhaps the most ancient of human arts, with a rich tapestry of traditions and techniques that can overwhelm you with where to begin.

You will learn the five most effective elements that make stories truly compelling: motivating tension, main character(s), plot/twists, scenes, and supporting characters.

You will learn how to use a simple and flexible tool to help you map your story as a series of scenes that flow compellingly together.

You will learn how to make your stories come to life with vivid and multisensory storytelling techniques that hook your audience’s attention right away and make them feel like they are experiencing the story as if they are “there” in the action.

You will learn how to engage and interact with your audience so that they are drawn in and moved emotionally throughout your story.

You will learn how to tell your story comfortably and confidently, and how to stick to your story without needing any notes or memorization.

Each class is limited to just 10 participants. That way, you get time to practice key techniques and receive feedback as well as 1-1 coaching.

We will use engaging, hands-on exercises featuring real-world stories and topics.

Each class session features spotlight moments where you get to practice your skills with the whole class supporting you.

The class culminates in a live performance showcase that will be free and open to the public. Invite your friends and family to celebrate your skills you as you shine on stage!

Completing the class earns you a beautifully designed Storyteller certificate, and qualifies you for the next levels in my Advanced Storytelling series.

Ahoy there! I am a professional trainer, facilitator, and storytelling coach passionate about creating transformative and joyful learning experiences. I launched Convivo in 2024 to help people and organizations build authentic communication skills, specializing in public speaking, presentation skills, and mission-driven storytelling for businesses and nonprofits. With degrees in Electrical Engineering (M.S. 2000, Boston University), and in Communication (M.A. 2011, UMass Amherst), I bring 20+ years of expertise in training and facilitation across a wide range of organizations and disciplines.

I specialize in storytelling, and have developed a proven framework that has helped companies make millions in revenue and has helped mission-driven organizations succeed in communicating their missions more compellingly.
