Jimmy Buffett was the world’s most famous beach bum, turning his love of "Beaches, Bars, Boats, and Ballads" into a billion-dollar lifestyle brand. With countless hit albums, sold-out arenas, best-selling books, Margaritaville restaurants, resorts, retail stores and even a cruise line. Buffett built a legacy like no other. His fans, affectionately known as "Parrot Heads", are among the most loyal in the world, drawn to the tropical state of mind known simply as "Margaritaville.""Adventures in Parrotdise" captures that magic. Starring Barrie Cunningham, the show features all the "Songs You Know by Heart" including "Come Monday", "Cheeseburger in Paradise", "Volcano", "Fins", "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes", and of course, the Parrot Head national anthem, "Margaritaville." Barrie also performs fan favorites like Van Morrison’s "Brown Eyed Girl", Crosby Stills & Nash’s "Southern Cross", and Buffett’s hit duets with Alan Jackson "It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere" and Martina McBride "Trip Around the Sun", plus a heartfelt performance of the posthumous classic "Bubbles Up."
What sets this show apart is authenticity. Members of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band including Will Kimbrough, Roger Bartlett, Greg “Fingers” Taylor, Tom “TC” Mitchell, Doyle Grisham, and Amy Lee have all joined Barrie on stage over the years for select performances, calling "Adventures in Parrotdise" "the next best thing to being on stage with Jimmy."
This is more than a tribute—it’s an experience. "AIP" is the only Jimmy Buffett tribute show to hold a residency in the main showroom of a major Las Vegas hotel/casino, and has headlined top corporate events for clients like Adobe, Motorola, Camber Pharmaceuticals, PepsiCo, Canon, Compass Bank and many more.
With guitars supplied by CF Martin, Gibson, Fender, and PRS and straps from Terry Misner - Action Guitar Straps (makers of Jimmy’s own), Barrie brings the music and the vibe to life with unmatched authenticity.
