Clay Adventures (Ages 8–11)Discover the creative potential of clay in this hands-on class led by local potter and educator Annelie Haberman.
In this fun and skill-building experience, young artists will explore foundational ceramic techniques used by professional artists, including slab and coil building, sculpting, texturing, slip trailing, and “scratch and attach” construction. With guided instruction and plenty of room for imagination, students will learn how to bring their own ideas to life in clay.
Projects may include functional pieces like mugs and bowls, decorative works such as tiles or luminaries, or imaginative sculptural creations like creatures, characters, and fantasy-inspired forms. This class encourages individual expression while helping students build confidence and comfort working with clay.
