Join us at the library for a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to Geocaching, the world’s largest GPS treasure-hunting game! Learn how people around the globe use smartphones and GPS devices to discover hidden caches in parks, cities, trails, and even libraries.
This interactive program is perfect for:

Teens & adults
Outdoor enthusiasts
Tech lovers
Curious beginners with absolutely no experience needed
During the presentation, we’ll cover:
What geocaching is
How to use the Geocaching app
Different types of geocaches
Geocaching tips and etiquette
Fun gear and tools
How to find your very first cache
Participants will also get to join in a special indoor library geocache hunt and practice finding a cache right here in the library!
Before You Attend
If you’d like, you can create a free Geocaching account ahead of time at https://www.geocaching.com/play
You may also want to download the free Geocaching app to your smartphone before class. However, this is completely optional you can still fully participate and learn without an account or app.
