Readings and Carols features all of our Youth Music ensembles singing songs of Advent anticipation and Christmas joy. Youth readers offer traditional readings from Holy Scripture heralding Christ's birth, and congregational carols are sung in the soft glow of candlelight. No tickets or reservations are required for this liturgy – all are welcome! A freewill offering to benefit the Youth Music Program will be collected.
The Cathedral will not close at the usual 6pm weekday time, and will remain open before the liturgy.
The Cabrini Tower Garage on Marion Street will be open for free Cathedral parking for this liturgy. To receive free parking, you must take a ticket from the machine when you enter the garage, and write "Cathedral" on it before you hand it to the attendant upon exiting the garage. Having your ticket ready before you exit will speed the process for everyone.
