Advent is a special season for the Church - it is a time when the world prepare to celebrate anew the coming of Christ. Often, we lose sight of the point of this season because we get caught up in our preparations for Christmas and arrive at Christmas no more transformed than we were at the start of Advent.
A way that our parish is seeking to prepare for Jesus' birth and experience true transformation this Advent is by engaging in Ascension's Rejoice! Finding Your Place in the Advent Story. This year, we will explore the places, meet the people, and experience the events that shaped the first Advent, and find our place in this story.
We will be holding our Parish Mission on Mondays, November 25, December 2, 9, and 16 from 7:15 - 8:00 PM in the school Media Center. Please register online at https://srbcatholic.com/formation/adult/advent/ or in the Parish Office.
It is highly recommended that participants purchase the Rejoice journal/workbook. Journals/Workbooks can be purchased for $15 in the Parish Office.
