Taught by Layne FlathThe Advanced Asana Workshop is a challenging practice session designed for an athletic yoga practitioner without significant injuries or physical limitations. The class includes dynamic, flowing, and intelligently designed postural sequences to increase flexibility, strength, and balance, move internal energies, and progress toward the possibility of arm balances, inversions, backbends, and more. So-called "peak" postures will be explored in a conversational, educational, workshop-style format. As always, a range of props can be utilized and each person is encouraged to move with balanced effort, in a way that is uniquely wholesome, nourishing, and safe. This class is great for yoga teachers, aspiring yoga teachers, and those longing for deeper learning. Class will begin with a period of centering and close with an extended savasana.
