Most organizations know what Value Stream Mapping is. Far fewer know how to use it to drive real operational change. This advanced Value Stream Mapping course is designed for manufacturing professionals who are responsible for leading VSM efforts, not just participating in them. The focus is on using VSM as a systems analysis, decision‑making, and focusing tool, not a drawing exercise.

Participants will learn how to gather accurate information on the shop floor, lead VSM activities with employees from different departments, and prioritize improvement ideas for real results. The course also introduces practical ways to analyze data, identify waste, support improvement planning, and identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence (AI) use. Through discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will build the skills needed to lead successful VSM projects and drive continuous improvement within their organizations.

• Identify common problems in value stream mapping projects and recognize opportunities to improve process performance.
• Lead and facilitate VSM activities by using effective communication, listening, and teamwork skills to gather input from different areas of the organization.
• Collect and verify process data on the plant floor to create more accurate and useful current-state value stream maps.
• Develop practical future-state improvements and action plans that can be successfully implemented in a manufacturing environment.
