Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - FREE School Leavers' Taster

This FREE Advanced Manufacturing Engineering taster session is running on Saturday 7th March 2026, 10am-1pm, at the new Energy Central Learning Hub at Port of Blyth.

It is ideal for young people who are completing their GCSEs this school year and are looking for an exciting career path with real job prospects.

If becoming an engineer in the renewables sector is something you want to explore when you leave school, or if you've recently left school and you're looking for a new direction, come and find out more from our friendly and experienced team of lecturers!

Parent/Carer attendance:
It is really helpful if parents/carers can also attend the event with their young person as we give a lot of information about the purpose of the course, how the course is run and expectations. Parents/Carers can enjoy a free cuppa and ask our experienced team of lecturers about our school leaver courses, apprenticeships and future career opportunities, as well as taking a look at our brand new, state-of-the-art campus at Energy Central.

Please note, you only need to book a place for each leanrer and not for the parents/carers.

Booking a place:
We are running three sessions at this event, so please pick the time that best suits you when you register. The sessions are:

Session 1:10:00 – 11:00
Session 2: 11:00 – 12:00
Session 3: 12:00 – 13:00

Please note that the event runs from 10am-1pm, but you only need to attend for your chosen time slot.
