Advanced Garment Making- Chore Jacket
About this Event
Join STITCH AND DESTROY for their newest garment-making workshop!
Create your very own version of the STITCH AND DESTROY Chore Jacket!
In this workshop, STITCH AND DESTROY owners, Haven and Corey, will walk you through how to sew your own jacket. Learn how to sew pockets, insert a zipper, and sew sleeves. All materials provided, including sewing machines!
Pieces will be pre-cut to keep the workshop to one-day only. When signing up, please select which fabric you would like for your jacket. We will be using deadstock fabric sourced from FABSCRAP, a Brooklyn-based textile nonprofit. Our jacket pattern fits a variety of body sizes, from small to x-large.
Final garment measurements are Bust/Waist- 49", Length- 29".
If your measurements fall outside of this size range, please email us by November 14th so we can adjust the pattern!
You'll also be selecting the color of your fabric, before we cut it for you.
We will be sewing on Singer Brilliance machines.
This is an intermediate-advanced sewing workshop. If you know how to thread a sewing machine, sew a straight stitch, understand seam allowance, and feel comfortable behind a sewing machine, then this workshop is for you! This workshop is open to folks 18+.
Space is limited in our studio- we are able to accommodate 4 attendees. Sign up now to secure your spot!
