This Advanced contra is for dancers who are very comfortable with complex dances, no-walk-thrus & medleys.
Live music by Laurie Fisher & Steve Trisman, Calling/Sound tech by Claire Takemori
***Newer/less-experienced dancers are welcome to OFB Thursdays at Warren Wilson College, and Monday Contra at AB Tech (as well as Sat River Falls contras, and Sat Jonesborough Contras, and Summer Soiree dance weekend in June, The LEAF Festival in October, John C Campbell Winter Week, etc)***
Old Farmers Ball rents Harvest House, and we can’t charge for your entry, but any donations to appreciate our live musicians are welcome.
Bring a water bottle, snacks to share, clean dance shoes.
This is a workshop for Advanced dancers to learn more complex choreography & dance skills. The hope is that it’s fun and exciting and this helps better dancer skills make their way to the public dances.
Some things you should be able to dance: (Ideally both roles), Ricochets, orbits, box circulate, Shadows, Diagonals, End effects, Pass the Ocean Wave, Rory O'More, Petronella, how to pull-by around the ends of the set, etc.
