This club is for older tweens & teens that will enjoy an extended time of drawing. One of our skilled high school interns will share their talent and instruction in drawing, inspiring students to bring their drawings to life.
Over the last several years this club has evolved into its own unique experience. Advanced Drawing Club is almost like a phenomenon. This innovative class has been developed to satisfy teens' deepest artistic desires. We didn’t come up with the idea, it naturally developed on its own. Advanced Drawing club is lite on specific instruction, but heavy on creativity. It is a place for young artists to be themselves, surrounded by like-minded peers. The class is what they make of it. Some kids leave with a full sketchbook, others leave with new friends and some students accomplish both. We asked our students what THEY wanted, and this is it. It is definitely something special.
Students will explore Anime and basic animation to create favorite anime and animated characters from popular culture. Also, they will have the opportunity to work on individual styles of drawing and original characters. Any subject participants want to draw will be available for exploration by request. Participants will receive a sketchbook and have access our extensive supply of specialty paper. They will have the opportunity to utilize graphite, colored pencil, ink, alcohol ink markers, and at times watercolor to create their drawings!
