This is a 1 day (repeated on Sunday), hands-on course for boat owners who already have a good basic knowledge of the operation and maintenance of diesel engines, from the Basic & Intermediate courses. In this small class, students will work on an operational diesel engine on a stand in a garage, changing key components such as the alternator, starter and injectors.๐๐ซ๐๐ซ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฌ: Participants should have completed a BCA Basic and Intermediate level diesel course (offered on November 2-3) or be very familiar with diesel engine operation and maintenance.

We have a working diesel engine on a stand in a garage. This allows easy access for explanations and for doing service work. Participants get personal guidance, and encouragement available in the small group.
The instructor will review fuel, cooling, electrical and lubrication systems. Participants will learn the correct procedure for bleeding the fuel system. Participants will then actually remove and replace the following components and start the engine.

A "Subway" is about a 10 minute walk if you prefer.
