This 2.5 day, 20-hour course is designed to provide continuing education, skills improvement, and increasing proficiency for the experienced Crisis Negotiator by reviewing recent incidents and new approaches. This course covers the intersection of POST decertification investigations and departmental administrative investigations. Peace Officer Decertification (SB2)/Pitchess, Skelley, Decertification Appeals, etc. Students are encouraged to bring case studies to share with the class.
