Advanced Clinical Myotherapy Techniques (Auckland)
Advanced Clinical Myofascial Techniques is predominately a hands-on workshop covering the most common musculo-skeletal dysfunctions that we see in our clinic’s day to day. The focus is to provide the therapist with the knowledge to address the client’s complaint with detailed assessment and an evidence-based approach to treatment, with attention to treating the cause rather than the symptom and emphasis on selecting the correct and most effective technique for the pathology presented.
This workshop is a combination of several of Garry’s popular workshops covering dysfunctions such as cervical, thoracic, shoulder, lumbar/SIJ, wrist and elbow. Garry’s goal with this workshop is to deliver skills to the participant that they can apply in their clinical practice immediately.
About the Presenter
Garry Lavis is the founder of Platinum Training and has been a Remedial Massage Therapist for 18 years and holds the qualification of Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. Garry has a passion for Sports, having played rugby league professionally in Australia and also competing in the Subaru Triathlon Series in Ontario Canada for 4 years, Garry has developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Garry has an excellent understanding of the Massage industry having been on the National Board of Directors for the Australian Association of Massage Therapists for 8 years, 4 as National President and 13 years as the Massage & Myotherapy Australia National Conference Committee Chairman. Garry has presented workshops and lectures throughout Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
This workshop will be followed by a Member Meeting with Massage & Myotherapy Australia CEO Ann Davey and Vice President Garry Lavis, where you can ask questions about the Association and the proposed amalgamation.
