West Valley Periodontics invites you to an evening of advanced learning with Dr. Bruno Azevedo, a dual specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Endodontics practicing in Austin, Texas. With more than 22 years of experience in Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), Dr. Azevedo is internationally recognized for his expertise in advanced 3D imaging, CBCT interpretation, and the clinical integration of emerging imaging technologies.
Dr. Azevedo earned a Master's degree in Dental Diagnostic Sciences and a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, along with a certificate in Endodontics from Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
His work focuses on helping clinicians extract the full diagnostic value of CBCT through optimized image acquisition, systematic interpretation, advanced visualization, and artificial intelligence-assisted workflows. His unique perspective as both a radiologist and practicing endodontist allows him to bridge imaging, diagnosis, surgical planning, and interdisciplinary treatment decisions in a highly practical way.
Dr. Azevedo has authored numerous scientific papers and book chapters on CBCT and advanced dental imaging, and has lectured extensively throughout the United States and internationally. Known for a clinically driven teaching style centered on real-world cases, he'll walk attendees through the diagnostic blind spots that can significantly alter treatment planning, risk assessment, and patient outcomes.
