Lend a hand to help plant wildflower seeds to provide more nectar sources for our pollinators. Bring work gloves, rake and water bottle. Wear long pants and be prepared for off-trail work. Tick preventive sprayed onto clothing prior to coming to the park is recommended. Participants will be split up into groups to help plant several different areas. The meadows have recently mowed as part of resource management to control invasive plant species and provide better conditions for new plant growth. Meet at the nature center.
Meeting Location Notes: Highbanks Nature Center is the first right after entering the park. There is limited parking in the Nature Center lot on busy days. Additional parking is available in the Oak Coves Picnic Area, a 10 minute walk from the Nature Center. Follow the paved trail through Oak Coves toward the Nature Center.
