About this Event

About The Training

Making adult safeguarding enquiries is a statutory duty under the Care Act 2014. However, it is not just the responsibility of social workers.

This level 2 course explores how legislation, policy, procedure and guidance should be implemented in practice in your work.

It will assist you to make, support and be involved in effective and proportionate adult safeguarding enquiries and interventions.

The course will include examples, case studies and lessons drawn from case law, Safeguarding Adults Reviews, and Domestic Homicide Reviews.

  • Understand how to Make Safeguarding Personal and to apply the 6 principles of adult safeguarding whilst demonstrating compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and vital and public interests.
