Adult Learners Week: Advance Personal Planning Workshop

A practical workshop to guide you one page at a time through the process of completing your Advance Personal Plan.

An Advance Personal Plan (APP) is a “living will” that helps guide medical and family decision-making at the end of life. While advance personal planning is often associated with older people or those receiving palliative care, everyone can benefit from having an APP in place – life is unpredictable, and planning ahead ensures your wishes are clearly understood and respected.

This practical workshop, led by Samantha Harrington (Clinical Nurse Consultant), will guide you one page at a time through the process of completing your Advance Personal Plan so that it is ready for signing, witnessing and presenting to your health professional. Participants should have considered their choices, values and preferences for future healthcare and be ready to complete their document in preparation for attending this workshop.
