Learn to knit or refresh your memory!Have you been looking at pretty handmade knits and wanting to make one?
Are you looking for a wonderful craft that is known for relaxation and therapeutic stress relief?
Knitting is a wonderful craft because you can take it anywhere you want to go, from fun little projects to making full garments!
In this beginner knitting class we will make a cute ear warmer headband! All levels welcome - even if you have never held a needle before. We will begin this cute headband in class, you will take it home and work on your knit stitch, then come to one of our Second Saturday Stitchers meetups to learn how to bind off.
We will cover the basics:
Learn about yarn, labels and how to buy yarn
Types of needles and how to choose for your project
Basic knit stitch
Kit includes: circular size 13 knitting needles & yarn
If you want to just refresh your memory because it has been a long time, we can add on casting on the long tail cast on method. We will get you moving and inspired to jump back into the fun and relaxation of knitting.
You will love showing off your headband, and feel great when you get tell people you made it!
