This introductory course covers the essential skills of acrylic painting, focusing on composition, contour transfer, and color mixing. Suitable for beginners with no prior art experience, the course offers personalized instruction to guide each student from planning to execution.
Students will work primarily from reference photos to capture accurate color, value, and texture. Bringing a laptop, sketchbook, and printed references to class is encouraged.
By the end of the course, participants will gain confidence in their artistic abilities and a solid foundation in acrylic painting techniques.

Required Materials:
• One Sketchbook with mixed-media paper
• Laptop/tablet required every class to view references
• Printed reference photos
• Canvases as needed based on pace- 11 x 14 in. minimum suggested
• Soft pastel to transfer
• Printer
• Acrylic Paint Brushes
• Acrylic Paint- Liquitex suggested
• Palate
• Easel (optional)
