Adult Intermediate Acrylic - 6 weeks - Starts 8/9/25

This class is for people who have been introduced to acrylic painting but want to learn more about brushwork and color theory to improve their paintings. Discover the essential techniques you need to paint confidently with acrylics! Each lesson introduces targeted skills and techniques. Learn to recognize and recreate value shifts to depict light and form, create a sense of space and dimension with cast shadows and highlights, and add depth and luminous warmth with acrylic washes and glazes. All paint supplies and materials are included. Projects are different in each session.

Saturdays from 10:30am-1:30pm

Summer Session II dates: 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20 (no class on 8/30)

Instructor: Donna Gonzalez

Level: Some painting experience is helpful. We recommend taking 1-3 sessions of beginning acyrlics first.

Ages: 14 and up (for slightly younger artists, please call the DCA)

Cost: $147 per person per session (pre-register/pay in advance).

$10 materials fee to be paid to instructor at the first class.
