Adult Bible Study - Bible Blueprints: Basics to Building a Strong Foundation in Scripture

Ever wanted to understand the Bible, but didn’t know where to start?
Maybe you don’t know the difference between the Old and New Testaments.
Maybe you hear words like commentary, covenant, and doctrine and just nod like you understand. Maybe somebody says, “Turn to Zechariah” and you spend 30 minutes searching for it. Do you ever struggle with studying your Bible or are you overwhelmed by it?
Then this Bible Study will be for you!
We are offering a 3-week Bible basics class in October, and you do not have to be a member our church to attend. Everyone is welcomed, in fact, we encourage you to invite a friend!
Church experience not required.
No judgment. No shame. No assumed Bible knowledge. No pretending.
Just a desire to learn and grow.
We will discuss why we can trust the Bible, how we should be reading it and learn practical tools to understanding God’s Word and help us interact with it. Whether you are new to Bible study, an avid reader of the Word or somewhere in-between, this is a great class for you!
We will cover:
How the Bible is structed, the central story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, key themes such as creations, covenant, salvation and God’s kingdom, practical tools for reading and studying the Bible on your own and techniques involved in how to use the internet and Biblical sites. You will learn why context matters and how to stop feeling confused by Scripture.
Plus, you will build YOUR relationship with God.
Each week includes teaching, group discussion and opportunities to apply Biblical truth to daily life. Again, no prior Bible knowledge is required. Our goal isn’t just to know more about the Bible, it’s to become more confident opening it, understanding it and building our lives upon its truth.
“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who build his house on the rock.” ~ Matthew 7:24
Bring you Bible, something to take notes with and come ready to build!
