Class Overview:
Our Adult Ballet class is designed for adults looking to explore the elegance and discipline of ballet in a gentle and supportive environment. This class is perfect for anyone seeking a low-impact form of exercise that improves posture, balance, and flexibility. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to revisit the basics of ballet, our class provides the perfect setting to master the fundamental techniques at a comfortable pace.

What to Expect:
In each session, you will be guided through a series of stretching, center work and traveling exercises that focus on building core strength, enhancing flexibility, and improving overall body alignment. Our experienced instructor, Sunny, will provide personalized attention, adapting movements to accommodate all abilities.
- Suitable for all ages 18-80+
- No need for expensive outfits! Gym clothes and socks are suitable
- No prior dance experience needed
- Small class size for personalized instruction
About the Instructor:
Sunny Hickin is a certified strength and conditioning coach with over 20 years of experience in wellness and fitness. A Staunton local, her journey began with extensive ballet training in childhood. She is a well-known figure in the community art scene and integrates her deep knowledge of physical fitness with her passion for dance.
At Shenandoah Latin Dance, Sunny leverages her expertise to create inclusive and accessible classes that cater to a range of abilities. Patient, encouraging, and supportive, Sunny fosters a welcoming environment where all are inspired to explore their potential and embrace a lifestyle of health and joy through dance.
