Adirondak Bluegrass League hosts The Kevin Prater Band

Kevin Prater celebrates his 45th year of his bluegrass journey that began at age seven. He has entertained in 49 states and 24 countries. Though he has played with many legends of bluegrass in career, he is most known for his twelve years with the legendary, James King Band. During which he was part of two "Album of the Year", a "Song of the Year" and a "Recorded Event of the Year", award winning projects. He was also nominated at "Banjo Player of the Year" during a three year stint with The Bluegrass Brothers.
2024 blessed The Kev s a group of stellar musicians to make all that happen. In addition to Kevin Prater (Belcher, KY.) on mandolin, he is accompanied by Mallory Hindman (Reader, WV.) on fiddle. On guitar, Dalton Smith of (Alderson, WV.,) Larry Cadle of (Galion, OH.) mans the bass position and in banjo, Codie Allen of (Campbellsville, KY.)

"Coal-Fired, Pure Kentucky Bluegrass" is the bands motto and first love. They also deliver classic country, bluegrass gospel, original tunes and grassed up vintage rock.
