About this Event
The event will take place at the Welcome Centre, level 5. In the Lecture Theatre.
A community research project on migrant maternity care, led by the Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) at the University of Birmingham, found that migrant women in the UK often face barriers during pregnancy and childbirth, including language challenges, unfamiliarity with the healthcare system, and social isolation. In response, these lived experiences were transformed into a powerful, co-created forum theatre performance. This interactive piece invites audiences to step into real-life situations and collectively explore issues of care, power, and inequality.
