Adaptive Thinking Workshop Series — Phoenix
About this Event
This summer Derrick Mains is hosting three hands-on workshops in Phoenix designed to change how your team thinks about problems, decisions, and the systems that shape your business.
Not lectures. Not slides. Real thinking work that forces what is actually happening into the open in ways whiteboards and meetings never do.
SESSION 1 — LEGO Serious Play
July 23 · 12:30–4pm
Most teams are decent at solving problems they have seen before. Adaptive thinking is what happens when the problem is new, the pressure is real, and your usual approach is not working. You will leave with a shared model of the challenge your team is actually facing and a new set of tools for navigating uncertainty.
SESSION 2 — Functional Decomposition & Adaptive Thinking
August 6 · 12:30–4pm
Most business problems look unsolvable because the real structure is hidden. You are reacting to symptoms not causes. 3.5 hours of live problem solving built around structured thinking exercises that break complex challenges apart and make the invisible visible. Bring a real problem. Leave knowing what you are actually dealing with.
SESSION 3 — Fresh Biz: The Game
August 26 · 12:30–4pm
A fast-moving board game that mirrors the real dynamics of business — deals, decisions, limited resources, unexpected shifts. The real work happens in the debrief. You will leave with sharper entrepreneurial instincts and a clearer picture of how your team actually thinks under pressure.
Pricing:
Single session — $429 per person
Full series — all three sessions — $999
Team pricing available for groups of 4 or more
