About this Event

N.B: This is in-person only.

Co-hosted by Save the Children UK and ODI Global, this event will bring together practitioners, researchers and policymakers to explore what it will take to achieve lasting adaptation gains in fragile and conflict-affected settings.

The discussion will feature speakers from Save the Children, Pegasys, FCDO and ODI Global, including:

  • Nasr Mustafa, WASH and Climate Advisor, (Save the Children);
  • Jane Wilkinson, Managing Principal (Pegasys);
  • Simon Lucas, Head of Profession Climate, Environment Infrastructure and Energy, (FCDO); and
  • Rebecca Nadin, Director of Global Risks and Resilience (ODI Global).

Drawing on practical experience from climate adaptation programmes and financing initiatives in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, speakers will reflect on the challenges of sustaining adaptation gains under conditions of uncertainty.

Through a combination of panel presentations and interactive discussion, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, challenge assumptions and contribute to the debate on how adaptation gains can be sustained through effective programme design, innovative financing approaches and strong partnerships.
