Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys are an institution of the Australian music scene. Formed in 2005, the band is renowned for its captivating live performances, which are marked by slick presentation and raw energy. Along with Adam (Vocals/Trumpet) it features some of Australia’s finest musicians. Live on the 17th and 31st July.
Their large repertoire is rooted in the jazz and rhythm & blues music of the 40’s and 50’s from artists such as Ray Charles, Jackie Wilson and Chuck Berry. The band also has a large library of original music which can be found on their 6 CD’s: I’ve Got News For You (2007 featuring Big Jay McNeely) When It’s Party Time Down South (2011), It’s You It’s Me (2012) and the Rhythm Spectacular - The Music of Beyoncé (2014), with you (2016), Magic (2025)
