Adam Green est un véritable artiste polymathe : auteur-compositeur, cinéaste, plasticien et poète. Cofondateur du groupe culte The Moldy Peaches, figure emblématique du folk lo-fi et de l’anti-folk new-yorkais, il compte onze albums solo à son actif, dont les chansons ont été reprises par Regina Spektor, The Libertines, Carla Bruni ou Will Oldham.
Explorateur insatiable, Green a présenté ses œuvres visuelles dans des musées à travers le monde, notamment à la Fondation Beyeler (Bâle). Il a également réalisé deux longs métrages singuliers, The Wrong Ferarri (2010) — premier film tourné entièrement à l’iPhone — et Adam Green’s Aladdin (2016), décrit par Buzzfeed comme “le film le plus psychédélique jamais réalisé”.
En 2023, la compilation hommage Moping In Style: A Tribute to Adam Green réunit Father John Misty, Devendra Banhart, Sean Ono Lennon ou Frankie Cosmos, confirmant son influence durable sur la scène indie folk et alternative internationale.

Adam Green is een artistieke duizendpoot: muzikant, filmmaker, beeldend kunstenaar en dichter. Hij verwierf bekendheid als medeoprichter van The Moldy Peaches en bracht elf soloalbums uit. Zijn nummers zijn gecoverd door o.a. Regina Spektor, Father John Misty en Devendra Banhart. Daarnaast regisseerde hij - duizendpoot die hij is - de cultfilm 'The Wrong Ferarri', volledig gefilmd op een iPhone, en het absurdistische 'Adam Green’s Aladdin'.
Zijn werk was te zien in musea wereldwijd, waaronder de Fondation Beyeler. Naast muziek en film schrijft hij poëzie en graphic novels. In 2023 verscheen het eerbetoonalbum 'Moping In Style: A Tribute to Adam Green'.
