Acupuncture Retreat for Pregnancy
About this Event
About this event
Are you expecting a baby and curious about the benefits of acupuncture? Take a break from the busyness of pregnancy and join us for an afternoon of relaxation, learning, and connection. Whether you're new to acupuncture or have experienced it before, this welcoming event offers an opportunity to care for yourself, experience a gentle treatment, and connect with other expectant parents in a calm, supportive environment.
Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice in which thin, sterile needles are gently inserted into specific points on the body. It is commonly used to relieve pain, reduce stress, and support overall well-being by balancing the body's vital energy (qi) and stimulating the nervous system.
During pregnancy, acupuncture is considered a safe and effective way to help manage a variety of common discomforts, including morning sickness, digestive concerns, lower back and pelvic pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, fatigue, anxiety, depression, stress, and high blood pressure.
How community acupuncture works
Participants will be seated in a small group setting, fully clothed in a reclining chair or side-lying on a massage table with comfy pillows for support. Acupuncture points are usually performed on the hands, feet, and head. There are two high-powered air filters in the room, and you may choose to wear a mask if you wish.
This event is for pregnant individuals only, and advance registration is required.
