ATAC-seq, the gateway assay to epigenetics!

ATAC-Seq is a method to profile open chromatin regions genome-wide. Because of the assay’s speed, simplicity, and applicability to a wide range of sample types, ATAC-Seq has become a commonly-used epigenetic assay, and it can serve as a gateway to further, more detailed epigenetic analyses such as ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag

Ideal for: Post-docs, RAs or grad students new to epigenetics research

Workshop Objectives:

1. Hands on lab training and FREE sequencing of your own cells with Active Motif’s ATAC-Seq Kit (sponsored by the Center for Advanced Technology and Active Motif)
2. In-depth protocol review highlighting challenging steps and how to overcome them, QC steps required, and trouble shooting scenarios.
3. Data analysis training using ATAC-seq raw example data set so that you can analyze your own sample when FASTQ files are ready

Tentative Agenda:

• 10:00am - 1:00pm: Introduction lecture and wet lab (through library prep)
• 1:30pm - 2:00pm: ATAC-seq raw data analysis bioinformatics presentation and Q&A with example data set
• 2:00pm - 3:00pm: Seminar on "Designing epigenetics projects using ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq, CUT&Tag & CUT&RUN"

Required: Must bring your own pipets and tips and plan to start at 10am
