Active Apirana inaugural weeding session

Part of the joy of mountain biking for many of us is being out in nature, so it's great to be able to get started on helping create some amazing native bush that the mountain bike trails can flow through. Come and join the Active Apirana crew to tackle the pest plants invading the upper Apirana Reserve.
This is going to be a regular event on the 4th Sunday of the Month from 9.00am to 11.00am. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves, water and sunscreen. If you have loppers, secateurs or a spade, bring them too. They will have spare gloves and tools to borrow if you don’t have any. The territory is very different to the Love Your Path area with rough ground and fallen branches underfoot so is not really suitable for young kids at this stage.
It’s a great chance to look at where the mountain bike trails are going in and get the lay of the land. The bush area is much bigger than it appears from the top of the hill and once inside, it feels like you’re miles from the city.
