The Action Palace Amateur Team Cup returns for its third installment, and now the pressure is real. After capturing the crown in a statement victory at the Action Palace Amateur Team Cup II, the new champions — Scotty Doesn’t Know — step back into the arena to defend their title against a hungry Dayton-based challenger in the next chapter of this growing Ohio rivalry. Taking place March 21 & 22, 2026, the event will once again be hosted at Action Palace Billiards & Game Room, located at 5605 Old Troy Pike, Huber Heights, Ohio and home of Dayton’s first Ultimate Pool League. With momentum on their side, Scotty Doesn’t Know, led by captain Chris Bradlee, returns with a battle-tested roster featuring Scott Stephens, Curtis Younce, Tracvon Miles, Tristan Harris, and Craig Frye (stepping in for Jesse McNew). The champions now wear the target — and every rack counts when you’re the team everyone wants to knock off.
Standing in their way is Dayton Strong, a proud local squad looking to reclaim home-turf bragging rights and bring the Cup back to Dayton. Captained by Brad Maggard, Dayton Strong fields a deep, determined, and polished lineup of Jeromy Jaynes, Josh Jaynes, Tommy Campbell, Brian Sturgis, and Casey Orum — a team built on grit, chemistry, and the belief that this is their moment.
As with previous installments, the format mirrors the intensity of the world-famous Mosconi Cup, featuring a mixture of singles, doubles, and team matches. The first team to reach 11 total team points will be crowned champion, with each individual match played as a race to five, earning one crucial point toward the total. Both 8-ball and 9-ball disciplines will be contested on a single 7ft Diamond table, creating nonstop pressure and momentum swings across both days.
Fans can expect high-level amateur competition, bold captain decisions, emotional momentum shifts, and an atmosphere that only Action Palace can deliver.
