About this Event

This training will focus on how the mind can both distract clients and practitioners from engaging in the present moment. Clients suffering from eating disorders typically present with obsessive focus on weight, shape, and size along maladaptive behaviors that impact their physical health and emotional wellbeing. Clients can also experience disconnection in their interpersonal relationships as the struggle to be “in the moment”. We will explore though acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) ways to contact the present moment and defuse from difficult thoughts and unworkable actions.

Lee Neagle is a behavioral healthcare executive, clinician, and licensed eating disorder specialist in Madison that has focused on developing and consulting with quality treatment programs across the country. Lee co-founded Inner Haven Wellness with the intention of providing a community-driven option to individuals that are seeking treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring disorders so they may engage in a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to them as defined by them.
