Acting Classes for Beginners

Acting classes at City League will be starting every Tuesday on May 12th from 7PM-9PM for 4 weeks:

Information about this class:

Every actor's journey begins with deepening an understanding of the self. Whether you're considering acting professionally, or are returning to the craft, this class sets to build strong techniques around concentration, emotional connection, and deep analysis of monologues. You will come out of this class with a monologue for auditioning that feels authentic to your voice.

No audition, placement or prerequisite is required to attend this course.

In order to secure a spot in this class, payment of $100 for 4 classes must be made on the first day of class in person. A commitment of 4 weeks is required.

Mae Rum is an actress in New York, having received her professional training from Caymichael Patten, Suzanne Shepherd, Frederick Waggoner, and now studies closely in Manhattan with Kieran Mulcare. She believes in actor empowerment, the spirit of collaboration, and has an empathetic approach to teaching actors. She primarily teaches from several schools of acting theory.
