Acting & Audition Technique Workshop

Are you someone who’s always wanted to do a show, but never knew how to prepare for an audition? Are you a seasoned actor who still struggles with nerves in the audition room and doesn’t know how the best way to calm them? And then once you get the part… what happens next? How do you get the most out of your performance? How do you REALLY understand a script? This class is designed to coach you on how to audition at your best and perform at your best once you nail that upcoming audition.

Topics covered in this class are as follows but not limited to:

Audition Techniques

Calm nerves

Preparation advice

Audition Etiquette (how to really stand out in the audition room)

Mock audition

Performance Practice

How to dissect a character and get the most out of the script

Understanding motivations, tactics, objectives of the character, situation, scene, etc.

Class participants will bring in an audition piece that they are looking to use/have used in auditions and get coaching from Chase Grabowski on all of the above (and more!). Monologues recommended. If bringing a song, please bring a song that is no longer than a 60 second cut.
