ACS Oregon Field Trip

Marine Mammals in Motion Class begins at 10:00 am. We will have time after the 2-hour class to view the other exhibits. Following this we will continue on to the Simpson Reef Overlook to look for Northern elephant seals, harbor seals, California sea lions and Steller sea lions, as well as a variety of sea and shore birds. The Simpson Reef Overlook is outdoors, be prepared for the weather. Plan to be at the overlook from 1-2 pm.

We will meet at the north end of the Thriftway parking lot in Newport at 7:30 am for those wishing to carpool. If you would like to volunteer to drive let me know how many you can take with you by emailing Joy at [email protected].

You may wish to bring a sack lunch with you. There are a few markets that offer deli sandwiches, along with a restaurant or two in Charleston. Coos Bay and North Bend offer a variety of restaurants and fast food options.
