Impasto is a painting technique that uses heavy body paints, mediums and tools like palette knives or stiff brushes to produce visible brushstrokes that add depth, dynamic interest, and a tactile quality to a painting. The visible texture of impasto can enhance the expressive qualities of a work, emphasizing form and catching light and shadow.
Join Jennifer Wentworth as she guides you through creating your own Impasto masterpiece on an 8×10 canvas.
