The Stage Door welcomes back its popular Acoustic(ish) Thursdays for 2025, bringing the Dartford community together for free monthly nights of live music. This February's showcase blends beloved local talents with exciting newcomers: experience Trash Heads in their intimate acoustic form as Trash Lights, enjoy original compositions from singer-songwriter Graham Corbould, groove to Philip Watson's stripped-down punk and new wave covers, and discover the poetic musings of Chris Porcas, who trades his timber yard for the spotlight. Local Dartford alt-rockers ‘Trash Heads’ lead singer AJ and guitarist Mark Peters will be performing an acoustic/stripped back take on some of their best songs as Trash Lights, returning to The Stage Door after their storming debut in the autumn of 2024.

Graham Corbould
Singer song writer Graham Corbould addresses a wide spectrum of topics, feelings and issues in hi work. Never forgetting that audiences are there to be entertained, he puts much effort is put into making songs accessible through strong choruses and verses which carry a story, not limited to love and loss, but tell of many things. Within the repertoire of over 50 original songs, some have a rye humour about them others address more serious topics. Graham’s accolades include being awarded Guitar Tutor of the year award by the Registry of Guitar Tutors in 2009, supporting Oyster Band, Phil Odgers, Chicken Shack, his song “It's the Little things” reached the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Contest, and being awarded a place on a songwriting workshop tutored by Sir Ray Davies MBE.

Phillip Watson
Phillip Watson a singer and guitarist from Gravesend is inspired by artists from the new wave and punk rock era such as The Jam and The Clash and the Britpop and alternative era such as The Smiths and Oasis. His passion is music that has attitude and a strong, rebellious and powerful message behind it that can transcend a way of life.
Chris Porcas
Chris Porcas is a (north) Kent based Poet by night and a Timber Merchant by day.
He started writing Poetry in October 2023 after a chance meeting in a Gravesend bar on a live music night when he was invited to come and observe a monthly zpoetry reading club there (The Mole Hole micropub) on a Sunday. He went, watched, loved it and started writing his own verse. He has read his self-penned poetry at many venues since including in front of 200 of his fellow Timber Traders at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London and at The Space, a Speakeasy cabaret and dance venue in Margate. He also regularly supports — and appears at — Hypermedia at The Fourth Portal, St Andrews Arts Centre in Gravesend and Big Trouble at Rams/12 Degrees bar in Rochester. He tends to write poetry of a biographical, observational, cultural, humorous, Spiritual or self-help nature and aims to bring entertainment, wisdom, healing and inspiration to someone in his audience.
He has recently self-published his debut book The Road To Poetry on Amazon in paperback and eBook. He currently posts regularly as ChrisPorcasPoetry on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Threads.
