Songs of mystery and imagination!Emily River Thomson and Martin Peirson join forces with a unique collection of self-written songs. Both singer-songwriters have dipped into their archives retrieving work that doesn’t quite fit with other bands they are part of, or their own solo performances. The goal is to find mystical themes and thought-provoking imagery on songs that you can still tap your feet to!
Using mandolin, ukulele and acoustic/electric guitars, their harmonies enhance some great songs which they mix in with covers of well-known hits.
On the strength of her solo CD release and sharing some live dates together, Emily was invited to sing backing vocals on Martin’s EP ‘The Larun Beat’, and afterwards, mainly to keep in touch, the pair began some ‘tea, cake and jam sessions’ which led to this unusual pairing.
Their CD Songs of Mystery & Imagination has just been released, available to hear/download on all the usual digital platforms including Bandcamp.
So with a bag of their own songs and a few classics people might already know, when their busy diaries allow, and the stars are aligned, Crazy Man Michael sing to the moon!
