🎤 Welcome to Acoustic Open Mic Night at Tie & Timber Beer Co.
This is a laid-back, family-friendly space for sharing songs, stories, and a little creative courage. Whether you’re stepping up to the mic or settling in with a pint, we’re here for genuine moments, good listening, and community that feels easy and kind.
To keep things comfortable and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that you follow the guidelines below.
1. Acoustic & Simple Setup Only
• This is a stripped-down, grassroots event. Acoustic instruments and natural vocals only.
• Minimal amplification may be provided for vocals, but no heavy effects, backing tracks, or complex setups.
2. Family-Friendly Content
• All lyrics, stories, and language must be suitable for all ages.
• Please keep material positive, respectful, and appropriate for a mixed-age audience.
3. Must Be Able to Carry a Tune
• This is a space for sincere musical expression. Performers should have a basic ability to sing or play in pitch and rhythm.
• All skill levels are welcome, but please come prepared.
4. Music & Spoken Word Welcome
• Acoustic songs, poetry, storytelling, and other spoken-word pieces are encouraged.
• No backing tracks or digital accompaniment.
**5. No Comedy Sets
• To maintain the tone and focus of the event, comedy and stand-up routines are not part of this open mic.
6. Respect the Time Limit
• Each performer will have 1–2 pieces or up to 5 minutes, depending on turnout.
• Please arrive early to sign up—slots are first-come, first-served.
7. Be Respectful of the Space & Performers
• Listen attentively to others while they perform.
• Keep conversation and movement to a minimum during sets.
• Support your fellow artists!
8. Keep It Grassroots
• This is a community-driven, no-frills gathering—come with an open heart, a simple setup, and a willingness to share.
