Acocks Green Heritage Trail

This walk will be looking at the earliest history of Acocks Green, at local religious history, and especially at the street scene, including the buildings, transport changes, and the creation of The Green in the 1930s.

The walk follows Boards One to Five of the eight boards that make up the Acocks Green Heritage Trail. At the end of the walk, you may feel you wish to see boards Six and Seven, which are a few minutes’ walk away.

Please do not park in Aldi’s car park. A better option is Dolphin Lane. The walk is along pavements, across roads and through the church grounds.

Please note there are no toilets on the route.

We will be ending in the churchyard at St. Mary’s church. Those who wish may join the guide in a local café afterwards.

This walk is accessible for wheelchairs users. This event it is an outdoor walk, expect uneven pavements, steps, crossing roads etc.

Meet outside Aldi at the corner of Dolphin Lane and Warwick Road (B27 6RH), on the pavement at Board One of the Heritage Trail.
