About this Event

Planet Youth Woodstock invites you to co-design the next steps in creating trauma-informed, healing-centred communities.

Purpose of the Day

This session is designed to build shared understanding, increase clarity, and move projects forward in a more concrete way following the October co-design day.

Participants will leave with:

  • a clearer understanding of self-healing and trauma-informed communities
  • a practical tool they can use in their own work
  • strengthened versions of the projects identified in October
  • clear next steps to work on between meetings

Morning – Shared Understanding & Structure

  • Welcome, grounding, and acknowledgement of feedback
  • Training on ACEs, trauma, and self-healing communities, with a focus on what this means in practice (not theory)
  • Introduction to a Trauma-Informed Project Lens that provides structure for thinking about programs and initiatives

Midday – Practice & Connection

  • Guided practice using the lens on a common example
  • Informal networking and relationship-building over lunch

Afternoon – Project Work & Action

  • Apply the trauma-informed lens to the projects identified in October
  • Strengthen and refine projects to more clearly support a trauma-informed, self-healing community
  • Identify concrete actions, roles, and next steps
  • Reflection and discussion about what comes next, including follow-up sessions and supports from Planet Youth Woodstock

Optional Video Preparation

Upon registration, an optional list of readings and videos will be provided to support shared learning ahead of our session on ACEs, trauma‑informed practice, and self‑healing communities.

Skip the Drive Through!
Coffee and muffins will be served upon arrival.

A hearty lunch including soup, wraps, and sandwiches, coffee, tea and dessert will be served at noon.
