Aces & Eights started playing together at Nashua High School in the late 1960's. Since then they have been a part of music era's such as the first 1970's outdoor festivals in New England, the 1980's punk/new wave movement,( playing at clubs such as the Rat and Max's Kansas City) and today's appreciation for things that were. Their music has crossed genres from British Rock, 60's West Coast Bands, R&B Classics, roots country and truck drivin' songs as well as particular interests in the music of Van Morrison and Steely Dan.
The present lineup in the band consists of original Members, Buddy Bernard, Jim Hinkle and Dave West. Bass player Randy Tryder has had that role for almost twenty years. Steve Lytle is playing drums and Dan Maggerall is playing the sax. The vocal high notes are being supplied by Kathy Nikitas and keyboards by longtime friend/ producer/ keyboard genius Peter Hostage.
